Horizontal Spiral Sedimentation And Discharge Centrifuge

The horizontal spiral decanter centrifuge is an efficient solid-liquid separation equipment, which has the advantages of continuous operation and large processing capacity.

Working principle

A hollow discharge screw is installed inside the non-porous drum. Both rotate in the same direction at high speed with a certain speed difference. The suspension enters the inner cavity of the feeding screw through the feed pipe and, after being accelerated, enters the drum. Under the action of centrifugal force, the solid particles with higher density settle on the inner wall of the drum, forming a sediment ring layer, which is continuously pushed to the small end of the drum by the discharge screw and discharged out of the drum. The clarified liquid is continuously discharged from the overflow port at the large end of the drum, thereby achieving the solid-liquid separation of the suspension.

Structural composition:

It is mainly composed of components such as a high-speed rotating drum, a screw that rotates in the same direction as the drum but at a slightly higher or lower speed than the drum, and a differential.

Features:

It can continuously feed, separate and discharge materials under full-speed operation, and has the characteristics of compact structure, easy sealing, stable operation, low noise, large processing capacity, low energy consumption, high degree of automation, low labor intensity, convenient operation and maintenance, and wide application range.

Technical parameters:

Taking the GNLW series drilling fluid centrifuges as an example, their drum diameters come in various specifications such as 220mm and 360mm, with a maximum rotational speed ranging from 1800 to 4500 RPM, a maximum separation factor of 1888 to 3063, a main motor power of 37 to 90 KW, and a reference processing capacity of 6 to 90 m³/h.

Application fields:

It is suitable for solid-phase dehydration, liquid-phase clarification and separation, liquid-liquid-solid three-phase separation, and particle classification of various suspensions with a solid-phase particle size of 0.005-15mm, a concentration of 1%-40%, and a temperature of ≤100℃. It is especially suitable for the separation of suspensions where filter cloth regeneration is difficult and where the concentration and particles vary greatly. It is widely used in chemical, food, environmental protection and other industries.
