The drum dryer is a continuous bulk material drying core equipment widely used in mining, building materials, chemical industry, grain and other fields. Through the coordinated operation of “rotary cylinder + hot air system + dust removal device”, the efficient drying of granules, powders and bulk wet materials is realized.
The equipment takes a long cylindrical rotating drum as its core. The drum is installed on a supporting roller bracket in an inclined state and can rotate at a constant speed. The drum is equipped with material dispersing structures such as lifting plates. At the same time, it is matched with a hot air generating device (such as a hot blast stove, heat-conducting oil heater, etc., which provides a drying heat source) and a dust removal system (a cyclone separator can be seen in the figure, which is used to capture the dust entrained in the drying air flow).
During operation, wet materials enter from the high end of the cylinder. As the cylinder rotates, they are continuously lifted and dispersed by the lifting plates, making full contact with the hot air flow moving in the opposite or same direction, which causes rapid evaporation of moisture. The dried materials are discharged from the low end of the cylinder. The dust-containing exhaust gas is purified by a cyclone separator and then emitted up to standard. The entire process realizes an automated flow of continuous feeding, drying, and discharging, meeting the needs of large-scale production for material drying.
