Multi-head Weigher Packaging Machine

A multi-head weigher packaging machine is an automated mechanical equipment used for quantitative packaging of products, which is widely applied in industries such as food, medicine, chemical engineering, and building materials.

Structural Composition


Feeding device: Responsible for uniformly delivering products to the weighing device. Common types include vibrating feeders and screw feeders, and the appropriate feeding method can be selected according to the material characteristics.
Weighing device: It is the core part, composed of multiple weighing units (scale heads), usually including four or eight scale heads. Each scale head is equipped with a high-precision sensor and a high-speed arithmetic processor to achieve accurate measurement of product weight.
Clamping device: Firmly clamps the product in the packaging bag to ensure that the product does not fall during the subsequent packaging process.
Sealing device: Tightly seals the packaging bag to ensure the hygiene and safety of the product. Common sealing methods include heat sealing and cold sealing.
Conveying device: Used to transport the packaged products to the next process, such as boxing and palletizing. There are various forms such as belt conveyors and chain plate conveyors.

Working Principle


Materials are conveyed from the storage bin to the weighing heads of the multi-head weigher via a conveyor. The vibrator ensures that the materials are evenly distributed on the weighing heads. Each weighing head is equipped with a load cell, which can detect the weight of materials in the weighing hopper in real-time. Components such as the PLC controller and touchscreen display in the control system process the weight data from each weighing head based on set parameters like precision and capacity. Through a specific algorithm, it calculates which combination of materials from the weighing heads is closest to the target weight, then controls these weighing heads to open their discharge gates, unloading the materials into the packaging bags below. Subsequent operations such as sealing are then carried out by the packaging machine.
