Concentrating Unit

A concentration unit is a combination of equipment used to increase the concentration of a solution or mixture. It achieves the purpose of concentration by removing or separating the solvent from the material through methods such as evaporation, sedimentation, centrifugation, or membrane separation.

Structural Composition

The following is an introduction to different types of concentration units;

1.Chinese Medicine Extraction and Concentration Unit: Widely used in industries such as traditional Chinese medicine, plants, biopharmaceuticals, food, and chemical engineering. Taking the HYTQ-50L small electric heating Chinese medicine extraction and concentration unit from Guangzhou Huayuan Pharmaceutical Equipment Co., Ltd. as an example, this unit integrates multiple functions such as dynamic extraction, vacuum concentration, and solvent recovery. It mainly consists of an extraction tank, a concentration tank, a condenser, a cooler, an oil-water separator, a control cabinet, an electric heater, and a vacuum pump. It adopts PLC control and touch screen operation, featuring high efficiency, safety, and ease of operation.

2.Ore Dressing Thickening Unit: Mainly used for dewatering treatment of concentrates and tailings in ore dressing plants, and also widely applied in the treatment of slime, wastewater, and waste residue in sectors such as metallurgy, mining, coal, chemical industry, building materials, and environmental protection. Its working principle is to add a certain amount of flocculant to the slurry to be thickened, so that the ore particles in the slurry form flocs, accelerate their sedimentation speed, and thereby achieve the purpose of improving thickening efficiency. It is mainly composed of a thickening tank, rake frame, transmission device, rake frame lifting device, feeding device, discharging device, and signal safety device, etc.

3.Membrane concentration unit: It utilizes the selective permeability of semi-permeable membranes. Under pressure, solvents (such as water) permeate through the membrane pores, while solutes (such as proteins, carbohydrates, etc.) are blocked by the membrane, thereby achieving concentration. It is mainly composed of a feed end, a concentrate outlet end, membrane modules, and a heat exchange system, etc. It has the advantages of high concentration efficiency, low energy consumption, and being able to retain the original components of materials. It is widely used in fields such as food, beverages, pharmaceuticals, and bioengineering.

4.Centrifugal concentration unit: It generates centrifugal force through a high-speed rotating rotor. Under the action of centrifugal force, in the solution to be concentrated, the solute with higher density moves towards the inner surface of the casing to form a concentrated solution, while the solvent with lower density is located in the central area, thereby achieving separation and concentration. It is mainly composed of a casing, rotor, inlet pipe, outlet pipe, motor, etc. It has the advantages of large processing capacity, high concentration efficiency, and small floor space, and is often used for material concentration in chemical, food, pharmaceutical and other industries.
